Physical Therapy
Pediatric physical therapists (PTs) work with children and their families to help each child in reaching their maximum potential in their home, school, and community environment. Physical therapists use skilled approaches to work with patients in the areas of movement, motor development, body function, positioning, and moving at their highest level of ability.
At ACTS Therapy, pediatric physical therapists also work with families to use creative, fun ways to work on goals that are important for the families and their children.
Reasons to see a pediatric physical therapist:
*if your infant is not meeting milestones such as rolling over, sitting up, crawling or pulling up to stand
*if your infant is looking to one side all the time or keeps their head tilted to the side
*if your toddler is walking up on their toes all the time
*if your child has had an injury or hospitalization and is not getting back to their prior level
*if your child has a medical diagnosis that involves motor or neurological function
*if your child requires specialized equipment for mobility and/or positioning
*if your child has tightness at the knees or ankles that requires serial casting
