Orton-Gillingham & Lindamood-Bell

The Orton-Gillingham reading approach is a multi-sensory, structured, sequential, phonics-based way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia.

Lindamood-Bell is a technique focused on sensory-cognitive functions for reading fluency and language comprehension.

Lessons are designed to start at the current reading level of the student and pace the introduction of new material to their individual strengths and weaknesses.

Areas addressed are:

Decoding of sounds/words, reading fluency, reading comprehension, spelling, and written expression.
